What Is a Darul Ifta?

A Darul Ifta (دار الإفتاء) is an institution where qualified Islamic jurists — known as Muftis — issue formal religious rulings called fatwas. These rulings provide Muslims with authentic, evidence-based guidance on matters of worship, daily life, business, and personal conduct according to Islamic law (Sharī'ah).

The Darul Ifta at Dars-e-Nizami draws on centuries of traditional scholarship, ensuring every answer is grounded in the Quran, authentic Hadith, and the writings of classical scholars across the four major schools of Islamic jurisprudence.
